Javiera Köstner

Therapeutic yoga teacher & psychedelic guide

Javi (ha-bee | she/her) is an Advanced Therapeutic Yoga teacher (RYT-500), a Credentialed Mindfulness-Based Psychedelic Guide, an Integrative Coach, and is on her journey to becoming a Somatic Psychotherapist at the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS). Her path into yoga began as a way to navigate chronic illness, manage pain and anxiety, and rediscover a compassionate connection with her body.

Specializing in Trauma Recovery Yoga and Mindfulness-Based Somatic practices, Javi blends slow vinyasa flows, grounded spirituality, and a hint of Latin flair. Her passion for the healing potential of sacred plant medicines led her to study with Dee Dussault, and she later developed her unique style of deeply relaxing and transformative practices. She is also the curator and creator of Magic Breathwork, a modality that combines the power of intentional breathwork with the optional support of sacred plant medicines for deep healing and connection.

Originally from Chile, Javi is a bilingual psychedelic guide and group facilitator as well as teacher with the Center for Medicinal Mindfulness. She is also the Director of Operations & Community Engagement at Root and Bloom Institute in Berkeley, where Green Magic Yoga gathers.

In 2018, Javi and her husband Sebastian founded Green Magic Yoga, weaving together mindfulness, yoga, and psychedelic healing. Both trained as psychedelic sitters and guides through the Center for Medicinal Mindfulness, they host monthly Circles in the Bay Area and online, cultivating safe, intentional spaces for exploration and transformation.

Javi also serves as a Board Advisor to the Santa Cruz Psychedelic Society, which hosts Integration Circles, hikes, and other community gatherings that bring people together in meaningful ways.
