Psychedelic Sitter School Level II - Berkeley

  • The Berkeley Alembic 2820 Seventh Street Berkeley, CA, 94710 United States (map)

The Psychedelic Sitters School is coming to California this fall. Join us on this 4-day experiential training program where we learn how Cannabis can be psychedelic and how we can support others in holding sacred space.

Becoming a Psychedelic Guide is a beautiful calling and ever so needed in these confusing and difficult times for humanity and the planet. This training is one of the first that we completed on our own path and we couldn't recommend it more. Please note PSS1 is a requirement for taking PSS2.

PSS is split up in two levels with a focus on experiential learning, with an additional level for advanced practices to become provide Psychedelic Therapy. Each level has a 4 day intensive training followed by a 2 day hands-on practicum. If you've been wanting to learn the basics around psychedelic sitting, risk reduction, mindfulness practices, the art of ceremony and facilitation with psychedelic cannabis, then this training is for you!

This training will be held in Berkeley from November 3-6th. It will be led by Daniel McQueen and co-facilitated by Javi and Seba. Credentialing is available as part of the MBPT track (Mindfulness-Based Psychedelic Therapy) which includes Mentorship, Supervision Sessions, Practice Hours, etc.

The first cohort will be small and intimate, spots are limited.

Psychedelic Guide Training (PSS 1 & 2) is for those who wish to facilitate individual and small group sessions in non-clinical, spiritual, or creative problem solving settings. This level is split into two primary intensives and practicum experiences (PSS 1 & 2). This course series provides all of the skillsets and logistics training needed to work skillfully and ethically as a Cannabis-Assisted Psychedelic Guide and can be completed in as little as four to six months. PSS1 and 2 have 2 tracks:

Community Guide: this track is for those who wish to engage the training primarily for personal development and to be a resource in their community. Those who are called to work with friends and family, be volunteers in private group experiences and/or volunteer in festival harm reduction settings.

MBPT Professional Guide: this track is for professional career advancement. For those who wish to be professional psychedelic guides credentialed in Mindfulness-Based Psychedelic Therapy (MBPT) and Cannabis-Assisted Psychedelic Therapy (CAPT) and make a living doing this work.

Psychedelic Therapy Training (PSS 3) builds from Psychedelic Guide Training. It is for those who wish to practice in clinical settings to treat trauma and who wish to engage in advanced transformational practices, such as cannabis-assisted breathwork. Completing this level allows for a credentialing in Mindfulness-Based Psychedelic Therapy with a speciality in Cannabis-Assisted Psychedelic Therapy and can be completed, with credentialing, in about a year.
